Excellent value from this music creation package.
With so many simple music creation software packages on the market, the traditional side of music making has been a little neglected.
However, Magix Notation 2 is the ideal tool for any music student, letting you create sheet music by dragging and dropping notes of different lengths onto a digital stave.
Alternatively, if you have a Midi keyboard, you can record compositions straight into your PC, which will automatically appear as notation.
There is also an on-screen music keyboard which can be played using the mouse. Although a little limited, it's useful for learning about pitch with only basic keyboard skills.
The main problem with music notation is the number of different symbols used but Notation 2 has arranged all the relevant groups into easy menus.
As you edit your score, notation is automatically updated. It also enables you to download Midi files of almost any piece of music and open them in Notation 2, giving you access to the sheet music.
Whether you are a struggling music student or a closet virtuoso, Notation 2 will cope with whatever you throw at it and is excellent value compared with similar products.
