A good all-round 17in TFT
Flat-panel monitors are the norm these days and the Relisys TL795A is a great all-rounder for any type of computer use.
This is a 17in flat-screen model, which gives roughly the same viewing area as a 19in CRT monitor but takes up a fraction of the space. The frame surrounding the screen is also much thinner than that of a CRT monitor.
However, some of the space savings are lost due to the power and video inputs sticking out at the back, which also means you can't wall-mount this monitor.
The display settings are controlled using touch-sensitive keys on the base. The menu is easy to navigate and pressing the auto adjust button will get the monitor looking its best.
The picture quality is very good in all scenarios and the quick response time means that fast-moving images look crisp in games and films.
Two speakers are built into the monitor but sound quality isn't great. There is a handy headphone socket round the back, however.
