Another three megapixel digital camera, but does it offer anything to make it stand out from the rest?
For most people, a three megapixel digital camera will meet every need. At this resolution you can easily print holiday snaps at standard photo sizes. Still, the C-350 Zoom has its work cut out to compete in an already overcrowded market.
A sliding plastic lens cover helps create the distinctive curvy Olympus look. In practice, though, this proved problematic, as it has to be slid fully open to turn the camera on and is easy to accidentally jolt out of position, turning off the power when you least expect it.
That said, we had no other problems using the camera and it produced great pictures using the 3x optical zoom lens.
Taking a picture is simplicity itself but we struggled a little with the menu system, which isn't as intuitive as on rivals' models, such as Kodak's. It also took a while to find the picture quality settings so we could adjust the camera mode to 'best quality'.
At this resolution, you can fit 20 pictures on the provided 16Mb memory card, although you will probably want to upgrade to a larger card so you can be a little more snap happy.
The C-350 is pretty much what you'd expect to find in a three megapixel camera but nothing to get over excited about.
