Simple clear advice in plain English

Mustek GSm@rt LCD3

A smart, super-slim camera with an LCD viewfinder and an interpolated resolution of 3.1 megapixels.

This is the smallest camera we have seen that squeezes an LCD viewfinder into its physique. It boasts an interpolated resolution of 3.1 megapixels, capturing images at 2,048 x 1,536.

Without interpolation, it can still manage 2.1 megapixels; equivalent to 1,600 x 1,200; impressive considering the price.

One casualty of the low price is a flash, making the camera useless in poorly lit environments. There are no expansion slots to bolster the 16MB of memory either, so being economical with your snaps is a must.

Nevertheless, you can record reasonably low-quality video clips suitable for emailing.

The LCD3 is a little smaller than an audio cassette case so will easily slip into a jacket pocket.

Transferring images from the camera is simple. Windows XP users won't need to install any drivers; simply attach it to a USB port.

This also means that the LCD3 can act as a 16MB removable storage device, enabling you to drag and drop files to and from the camera using Windows Explorer.
