A reasonably priced graphics card.
The PNY GeForce FX5700 LE provides the opportunity to upgrade your PC's graphics performance without the high price of a high-end card.
It slots into a standard AGP slot and has an analogue VGA output for connecting to most monitors and a DVI port for digital TFT displays. A DVI-to-VGA adapter is included if you want to take advantage of dual-monitor support but have two analogue monitors. TV connection is supported too. A copy of the excellent Splinter Cell is also included.
Gaming performance was good, if not spectacular. Our test game, Unreal Tournament, coped happily at resolutions of 1024 x 768. It's never going to compete with cards based on nVidia's 5900 graphics, but for the price, it's hard to complain.
The FX5700 LE also takes advantage of Microsoft's DirectX 9 features, which make games look much neater and more realistic. The PNY does offer good value, but as ATI's better-performing Radeon 9600XT will set you back just £30 more, we find the FX5700 LE difficult to recommend.

Overall:
A good card in its own right, but doesn't compare to ATi's similarly priced card.
Whether it's backing up data to a DVD or Blu-ray disc or making an audio disc, Burnaware is simple to use
