Review: The Sims 2: Seasons game

It’s like four seasons in one game

image-the-sims-2-seasons

Another month, another update, but fortunately this excellent add-on might be enough to shirk those lazy summer evenings in the park, for it offers brilliantly quirky gameplay additions that refresh the ever-changing Sims world.

As you might have worked out, this adds a quartet of seasons, bringing new weather, new activities, and new clothes. For example, gardening is a sun-reliant task, whereas piling on piles of thick garments is inadvisable in all but the chilliest of climes.

It’s all great fun, and once you’ve encountered the range of new gaming tweaks on offer, the old Sims planet feels remarkably bland.

The heat is more than just an aesthetic touch – you have to ensure your wee pals maintain a healthy body temperature. This adds a neat gaming touch, although in truth it’s more fun than a genuine challenge. It looks wonderful, it plays great, and this Seasons is undoubtedly an essential add-on for Sims 2.
