Get help when installing a new hard drive
Demand for larger hard disks is on the rise, so it's easy to see why adding a second disk is an attractive option. While USB or FireWire-based hard disks simply require plugging in, installing internal models can flummox inexperienced computer users. Ontrack Disk Manager helps you through the process.
A series of tutorials guides you through physical and electronic installation. Disk Manager then detects all drives on your PC (new and old) and launches a wizard to help set them up properly. If you are replacing your hard disk, the program can be loaded from a floppy disk or directly from the CD.
As well as including software to copy files from one hard disk to another, Disk Manager also ensures that older PCs can recognise the latest high capacity drives.
In all, this is a practical piece of software that reduces the stress of installing a new hard disk.
