An extremely powerful package for the experienced home designer
This package assumes that you already have some knowledge of home design. On launching the application, you are presented with a blank screen and a seemingly endless range of options to choose from. Worse still, there is no tutorial to help you out and the brief manual provides little assistance.
With a little perseverance, however, the sheer power and scope of this program quickly becomes apparent. Building from a simple floor plan, you can design every aspect of your dream home, from the plumbing and electrical fittings through to the size and shape of your kitchen cupboards.
There is also a powerful landscape designer for the exterior of your home. This includes a virtual nursery containing thousands of plants and information about their botanical needs, allowing you to plan your garden ahead of time.
If you know what you're doing, this is an extremely powerful package that gives you full control over every aspect of designing a home from the foundations up.
For the inexperienced user, however, the sheer complexity of the program, combined with the lack of any kind of useful help, makes it hard to justify the £50 price tag.
