nVidia's first analogue TV tuner card.
Point of View's NVTV card is nVidia's first crack at the analogue TV tuner market and first impressions are good.
The PCI card is very small and easy to install, the box comes with all of the cables you need and a decent remote control is included. Once everything is plugged in, the installation CD is all you need to get it all working. The bulk of the package is nVidia's ForceWare Multimedia application. It lets you view and record live TV, play DVDs, listen to music and, if you have a network, share media content around your house.
It's similar in operation to Microsoft's Media Center, though a little less polished. For example, it doesn't work that well if your TV and PC are connected, as the lower resolution of TV leaves text and some images a bit blurred.
The software makes it difficult to whole-heartedly recommend, but otherwise it's a decent tuner.

Our verdict
Overall:Reliable and easy to install, although the ForceWare software could do with an update.
