Connect your games console to the net via Wi-Fi
You've got Xbox Live and you want to play console games online, but your broadband connection is on the other side of the house.
Normally this would mean running a network cable around doors and furniture, but the US Robotics Wireless Gaming Adapter & Ethernet Bridge can connect your Xbox or PlayStation2 to the net using Wi-Fi.
To set it up, you connect the device to your computer and run the supplied software. There's a bit of fiddling around with IP addresses and such like, but the manual is straightforward and should help.
This gaming adapter supports the 802.11b and the much faster 802.11g Wi-Fi standards, the latter of which is ideal for playing games online.
The Wireless Gaming Adapter costs £60 and included in the price is a 30-day trial of Norton Internet Security for your PC.
