Simple clear advice in plain English

I Spy Treasure Hunt

An educational search game for children

I Spy Treasure Hunt invites you to explore Smuggler's Cove, a community bursting with hidden treasures and pirate booty. Find the clues and piece together the mysteries to progress (there are three separate treasure hunts with unique endings).

To move around the town you are offered a limited choice of fairly obvious options, each opening onto another area.

There is a lot to explore as you click around the town, but I Spy Treasure Hunt fares better than many programs with similar interfaces, and it's easy to move around and remember the locations. This is where the I spy part comes in. You must identify clues in each location.

However, to progress though the game you must also search scenes for the items listed at the bottom of the screen and click on them - this is the basis for most of the puzzles.

Despite this bias, there is plenty of variety and the images for the treasure hunts are very impressive. It can get a bit repetitive at times but, overall, I Spy Treasure Hunt is a well-presented package that offers some sound educational material in a fun and effective way.
