Simple clear advice in plain English

Logitech Cordless Desktop MX

Cordless mouse and keyboard from Logitech.

One hundred pounds is a lot to spend on a mouse and keyboard, particularly as you get the pair free with any new PC. The £100 you spend on the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX, however, is well worth it, since it consists of the best mouse and keyboard you can buy.

The MX700 mouse is optical and wireless and works as well as a corded mouse, thanks to some clever technology that increases the sensitivity of the optical motion sensor. Better still, it's rechargeable - just remember to drop it into its recharging cradle overnight once a week or so to avoid the disappointment of a flat battery.

The keyboard is in matching black and silver and is impressively slim. The keys have highly visible white lettering and a pleasant, non-clicky action. Shortcut keys are a handy addition to any keyboard and the ones used here can be assigned any function. There are also keys to control the media player of your choice, together with a rotary volume control so you can manage your music playback without having to look at your monitor.
