Sort out your digital photographs quickly and simply on your computer.
If you've got a digital camera, organising your pictures can quickly become a problem. Adobe Photoshop Album 2 helps you to manage your pictures and also includes some fun extras.
After installation you are given the option to search your computer for photos. There is a useful option to exclude pictures below a certain file size, meaning all images stored in your computer's temporary internet folder will be excluded. All of the photos are then deposited into what is called the Photo Well.
A timeline along the top of the screen allows you to quickly locate images taken from a particular period. This means that your camera's time and date settings will have to be correct but you can perform a batch conversion to change the date of a whole group of photos.
One area where Album 2 excels is in making backups of your photos. We shouldn't need to tell you how important this is, especially since you probably won't have hard copies of your digital snaps. A simple wizard takes you through the process of archiving your pictures to CD, allowing you to split archives over numerous CDs and add incremental backups to CD-Rs. This alone is worth the cost of Album 2.
Many photos will need a spot of editing before they can be printed out and Album 2 offers fully customisable tools needed to do this, such as red-eye correction.
All told, Album 2 is a pretty comprehensive piece of photo software.
