Review: Ship Simulator: Add-On game

Might leave some star-bored but others will sea its humble charms

The Simulator titles, which have covered pretty much every plane, train and automobile in existence, are continued cult successes.

This expansion for Ship Simulator features six new vessels, and the ability to take tours of each boat’s deck.

Now this walk-on feature is fairly limited; it doesn’t allow you to sip drinks with a bevy of beauties although you can sail from the bridge, but for boat fans it’s a neat virtual tour.

Although whether you’ve ever wanted to wander round a Russian Tugboat is another matter.
As with its parent title, Ship Simulator Add-On is a real Marmite offering; those that find the specifications of a Cruise Liner exciting will love its beautifully detailed game world. But those that prefer boats with cannons to take down enemy aircraft will find little action here.
