Make a photo slideshow
Xtreme Photo Story allows users to turn their digital photographs into a DVD or CD photo slideshow which can be played back on a TV from a standard set-top DVD player.
Photo Story provides the ability to showcase photographs and video clips creatively using transitions, effects, music and titles in much the same way as a video-editing application provides tools to enhance home movies. The running order and timing of photos is presented in a timeline format which can be easily re-arranged.
DVD menus can be added, and these can include background images, music and even video. There’s an impressive amount of control over exactly how photographs are presented, with an array of wipes, fades and optimisation tools.
Those who would rather let the program do the creative work can use a wizard to choose from pre-prepared slideshows based on common themes such as beach holidays.
The slideshow can be easily previewed as it is created, and can be burned to DVD or CD or even uploaded directly to Youtube. Magix Xtreme Photo Story is easy to use and we liked the flexibility it offered.
