Recharge the batteries on your mobile phone, camera, music player and other gadgets while you're away from home, with this mobile charger
The Power Pack charged our smartphone up and had power remaining
The Portable Power Pack from Lindy is a handy way to solve the problem of keeping cameras, phones and music players charged while on holiday.
It is a 3.7v charger that connects to a range of devices using a standard USB socket. It is compact, and light at 73g.
To use, connect the required device using the supplied lead and switch it on. Lights at one end of the Power Pack indicate how much charge remains in its battery, and a table printed along the length states what various combinations of the blue, red and green lights mean.
Plug the same USB lead into a computer and the other end of the Power Pack and it will recharge its own battery.
The instruction booklet states that a fully charged Mobile Power Pack will charge a 1300mAh battery once. We found that it charged our two-year old test smartphone fully with some power left to spare.
However, other devices wouldn't charge properly. Lindy says it will charge any devices that use a 5v supply at ‘up to 900mA'.
The Portable Power Pack is impressive but it might be best to buy from somewhere you can try it with your device to make sure it charges.
