Prepare for the other part of the driving theory test
The software ‘watches’ drivers go through each practice session
This software is a collection of on-the-road videos, shot from the driver's perspective, designed to test your anticipation of and react to hazards on the roads.
It's modelled on – but for various procedural reasons not exactly the same as – the hazard-perception part of the official Driving Standards Agency theory test.
The software ‘watches' potential drivers go through each practice session and marks them out of five depending on how quickly they take action by clicking the mouse on seeing a hazard.
Scenarios range from single-track lanes to fast dual carriageways, and the hazards include ones that are moving and stationary, slow and long vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and animals.
After practising, users can take the full-length test and, depending on how that goes, review their progress or go back to individual hazard videos and try again.
The videos ran smoothly, the interface was simple, the hazards deceptive (was it the braking van or the lorry pulling out?) and for the price, this is a good investment for people hoping to pass their driving tests first time.
