Computeractive, together with
Archos,
is giving away two sets of media products, including the TV+ digital video
recorder that can record TV programmes and stream video files to a TV from a PC.
The Archos TV+ is wireless-enabled and lets users record from a Freeview or
Sky box through an onscreen Electronic Programme Guide. This gets updated every
three to seven days through the device's wireless network connection.
The TV+ does not require a PC or notebook to be switched on in order to
stream files and films from it and those without a wireless connection will not
miss out.
The device comes with a network cable and USB port to transfer photos from a
PC or digital camera and show them on the TV screen.
Users can also use the device to access the Archos online video service and
rent films from companies such as Vizumi. The TV+ comes with a full remote
control.
For those who want to take their recordings with them, Archos is also giving
away a wireless-enabled 30GB 605 portable media player with each TV+.
By using the wireless feature in both products users can transfer content,
including films and photos, from the TV+ and watch them on the 605's 4.3in
touchscreen.
