Computeractive has teamed up with Packard Bell to offer one winner a Packard Bell iPower computer worth £1,000.

The Packard Bell iPower is ideal for gamers and those who like power-hungry programs. Cheap PCs available from supermarkets and high street stores are fantastic for those who only want to do the basics.

However, these systems may not be up to the task for anyone needing more power for complex work, such as gaming or video editing. Computeractive has teamed up with Packard Bell to offer one winner a Packard Bell iPower computer worth £1,000.

This Packard Bell iPower is ideal for gamers and those who don't want to wait around when editing videos and photos.

It has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor, which is effectively four processors in one, giving the computer a boost whenever it is doing more than one thing at a time or playing 3D games.

The iPower has 2GB of memory, which is more than enough to ensure good performance from the preinstalled copy of Windows Vista Home Premium. As well as normal day-to-day jobs, Vista Home Premium includes Windows Media Center for watching films and listening to music.

The iPower's Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS graphics card is more than capable of playing games at high graphics settings, while its 360GB hard disk includes plenty of space for games, films and music.

Microsoft's Habu gaming mouse comes supplied with the iPower. Its stylish black-and-blue design has a Teflon underside to give the best possible control when in use. And as the iPower is aimed at gamers, the sensitivity of the Habu mouse can also be quickly adjusted for either gaming or for Windows use.

The iPower's Reclusa keyboard includes a backlight and six gaming keys that can be set up to trigger a set of commands, giving an extra edge in games.

For your chance to win this great computer, simply answer the question shown on the right before 26 June.
