If you want to place a computer somewhere other than on a desk in a study, there is no reason to be put off by lack of space. Computeractive has teamed up with Shuttle to offer two lucky winners a slim Shuttle all-in-one X 5000T. You will not even need a mouse as it comes complete with a touchscreen that can be used with the supplied stylus or your fingers.

The X 5000T has an Intel dual-core Atom processor with 1GB of memory and a built-in graphics chip. It includes a 160GB hard disk, so there is plenty of room for your music collection and even videos.

There is a memory card reader for SD, MMC, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro cards so it is ideal for showing off digital photos. And it can be connected to a home network with both wired and wireless connections.

The touchscreen is a 15.6in model and there are stereo speakers built into the computer. Full surround sound is possible with external speakers as all the outputs are provided.

A stand is provided on the back of the case or it can be mounted on a wall using a Vesa mount. A built-in webcam and microphone can be used for video chat. The X 5000T comes with Windows Vista Home Basic.
