Mouse gestures are well known in alternative browsers such as Opera and Firefox but the new Add-ons for Internet Explorer have made this extremely useful utility possible and Mouse Gestures for Internet Explorer is one example.

Mouse gestures work by holding down the right-hand mouse button and moving the mouse in a particular direction, or combination. For example moving the mouse left goes back one page in the browsing history (see the list on the Mouse Gestures homepage for more gestures).

This utility can draw the gesture on the screen and, unlike current versions of the other mouse gestures, includes a circle to show the start and an arrow at the end to help move the mouse in the right direction.

The gestures can be modified to match other browsers or work with a personal style. A different mouse button can also be selected to start the gestures.
