Rewarding yourself is a good way to stay on top of work, whether that be in the office or for hobbies and societies.
Point Motivator is a way of keeping track of what has been achieved and then deciding on appropriate rewards.
Points are earnt for completing tasks. There are some examples already set up but there is the freedom to edit as far as you want - so particulary onorous tasks can reap better rewards.
Points can then be spent on various treats. There is an option to buy treats on credit if you have not earnt enough points but that does rather defeat the object of the program!
The software is fairly simple to use but can be a little programmer-orientated at times. It is fairly easy to experiment with the different settings and there is some help included.
There is no cost to using the software but the publishers do ask that you sign up on their website to get a registration key. Making a donation gives access to the forums and early access to new versions.
