This is an extension for Open Office that makes mail merges easier. A simple mail merge is creating letters for different people using a list of details held either in a spreadsheet or a database. It is ideal when there is a large contact list such as news updates organisation letters.
Fast Mail Merge improves on the mail merge tool included with Open Office, making it much easier to use.
Installation is simple, just like any Open Office extension. It may be possible just to double-click on the downloaded file and Open Office will do the rest. Otherwise, start Open Office Writer, click on the Tools menu and then Extension Manager. Click on the Add button. Find the downloaded file, left-click on it once and then click on Open.
