How to personalise a website’s discussion room, change the appearance and add new features

Previously in Computeractive, we’ve shown how straightforward it can be to add a blog and an online forum to a personal website.
Now we’ll demonstrate how to customise a forum using a variety of modifications, or ‘mods’. The mods can be used to add new features to the site, or simply change the default template to alter its appearance.
Making modifications manually can be difficult, but we’ll show how a handy tool can simplify the process.
