Wikipedia is an extraordinary attempt to build an electronic repository for
the world’s knowledge – an online encyclopaedia with well over a million
articles in English that anyone can edit.
In part 1, we
showed how to make straightforward factual changes to articles, add original
photos and make other simple adjustments.
In this Workshop, we’re going to demonstrate how anyone can create brand-new
Wikipedia articles that visitors can read and add to. We’ll explain how to
structure an article, how to ‘borrow’ formatting from other entries to make
creation and editing easier and how to collaborate with others to improve the
quality of your articles.
