Sometimes reinstalling Windows XP is just the thing to get a PC back in
tip-top condition.
However, it is far from fun. Chances are that your original XP installation
disc will be old and lacking dozens of updates.
This means that, once XP is reinstalled, time must be spent applying
countless updates. But by creating a ‘slipstreamed’ CD, it’s possible to make a
Windows installation disc that contains all the latest updates.
It is also possible to automatically install drivers and even to opt not to
install certain Windows components. Though slipstreaming is possible manually
we’re going to take a look a utility that automates much of the job.
