We previously looked at Google’s instant messaging tool, Google Talk, and explored how it combines free voice calls with text chatting.

The latest version adds new features that make it even more useful.

In addition, Google Talk now lets users leave voicemail and text messages for people who aren’t online so when they sign in, they get spoken or written messages straightaway.

These features make Google Talk many times more useful, so let’s have a look at them in action.
