Windows Vista contains many key new features, including Sidebar, which sticks
to the side of the screen and displays items such as photos or new stories from
the internet.
However, though Sidebar is fun, it hardly justifies an upgrade to Vista.
Happily, for those of you still using Windows XP, there’s a free program
available called MediaTicker that performs a similar function to Sidebar.
MediaTicker was developed by the Labs division of Roxio, the company behind
well-known programs such as the Easy Media Creator software.
