Q I use Windows XP and Microsoft Word, but the My Recent
Documents entry in the Start menu has disappeared, though the similar menu in
Wordpad works fine.
It’s not catastrophic, but because I used it often, it’s a nuisance. How can
I get ‘My Recent Documents’ running again?
Rupert Sutton
A Right-click the Taskbar (the blue area next to the Start
button – don’t right-click the Start button itself) and select Properties. Click
on the Start Menu tab, then Customize. Click the Advanced tab. At the bottom of
the dialogue box, tick the box marked ‘List my most recently opened documents’.
Click OK, then OK again.
