Kodak Easyshare Z700

Kodak Easyshare Z700

A cheap and cheerful digital camera

Verdict:

Good for photography beginners on a tight budget

Rating:

3

Price:

£180

The Kodak Easyshare Z700 is aimed at budding photographers who don't want to spend the earth on a digital camera. It certainly looks the part, although on closer inspection it felt rather tacky.

The Z700 makes up for this questionable build quality with a 4-megapixel lens and a 5x optical zoom.

As with many Kodak digital cameras, the Z700 has a tendency to increase the level of colour in your pictures while sacrificing some minor image detail.

Experienced digital photographers may not appreciate this, but undemanding users should find it ideal for everyday snapping.

One of the Z700's best features is its ease of use. You can send images directly to a printer, or email them to friends if you're connected to a PC.

On the whole, this is a very good camera ideally suited to digital photography beginners.
