A good idea but the build quality is a disappointment

There have been rumours for some time that Apple will be adding some kind of wireless ability to the iPod. Since it hasn't happened yet, Logitech has come up with its own pair of wireless headphones.

They use Bluetooth to connect to the player, which means attaching the small transmitter box to the iPod (or an iPod Mini).

There are controls built into the sides of one of the earpieces, including a control pad similar to the iPod's click wheel, which can switch the headphones on and off, change the volume or change tracks.

Reception is good and both parts have rechargeable batteries, which last for about eight hours.

The sound quality is reasonable, but they are not particularly loud and the design of the wrap-around strap is flimsy.

Convenience is a real attraction, but for £100 it's reasonable to expect quality as well as ease of use.
