The M2294D is primarily a computer monitor – it includes both of the common sockets for connecting computers – but it can also receive Freeview broadcasts and has two HDMI connectors for attaching games consoles or a Blu-ray player. In short, it's quite a versatile screen.
It looks good, too – the shiny black plastic bezel doesn’t distract too much from the screen itself, and the screen display is clear and bright. It has a widescreen resolution of 1,680x1,050 pixels, which is about right for a 22in screen.
In addition to the above sockets, there's a component input for high-definition video, two Scart sockets for attaching older devices, as well as sound outputs for connecting an amplifier.
