Limited warranty cover for Time and Tiny customers

Time and Tiny Computer customers will be given limited warranty cover while joint administrators Grant Thornton assess the situation after the Granville Technology Group was put into administration yesterday.

As the UK's largest computer manufacturer, producing around 500,000 PCs a year, Granville, the company behind Time and Tiny, leaves behind thousands of people who have recently ordered computers or who paid for warranties and who have been left in a very uncertain position.

Grant Thornton said today it had put a funding package in place to cover a limited warranty service. Computeractive is waiting to hear more details on what this emergency cover will provide and for how long.

A dedicated support team has also been set up to handle enquiries from customers and creditors. This includes a special phone line which has been set up where people can call on 0870 830 3288.

However Grant Thornton appealed to people with less urgent enquiries to email their concerns or questions if possible, at least until after the weekend, because of the high volume of calls it is dealing with. The email address is enquiries-time@gtuk.com
