Mustek has launched a portable DVD player just in time for the summer holidays. 

Featuring a 10in LCD widescreen with a 180-degree swivel screen, the MP100 can be folded into a tablet with an on-top display.

The player has built-in anti shock protection (ASP) which guarantees smooth playback of films or music regardless of the terrain.

Weighing in at a lightweight 1,2kg, it supports the usual CD and DVD formats, as well as MPEG4, DivX 3.11, 4.0 and 5.x, XviD, AVI, MP3, Kodak Picture CD and Jpeg.

Extra ports make multimedia playback easy, and there is also a USB and a built-in MMC/SD memory card reader for video and music playback or photo display. It has integrated stereo speakers and two stereo headphone jacks, and comes with a remote control.

Also provided with the MP100 are an adapter, rechargeable battery, cigarette lighter cable, IR remote control, carry bag, audio and video cable and earphones. It costs £249.
