The latest model in Advent's range of digital home PCs is now available in the UK.
The width of a paperback book, the black and silver DHE X22 is one of the smallest Media Center PCs to date. It features Intel Viiv technology running on an Intel dual-core platform and has a vertical profile meaning it can be positioned anywhere in the home.
The Advent DHE X22 Digital Home PC has Windows Media Center Edition software, a built-in digital and analogue TV tuner and a remote control. It can be switched on and off with the touch of a button, just like a TV, and the wireless keyboard and mouse make it easy to access digital content.
It is only 42mm wide and weighs in at 1.3kg. It is Wi-Fi ready and has 1,024Mb of memory, a 100Gb hard disk and "superior" graphics capability. The base unit costs £899 and will be available at PC World from mid-July.
The PC retailer is selling two complete bundles featuring the new Advent DHE X22: the 'Work' package features a 19in Xerox monitor and is priced at £1,129. The second option, 'Living', comes with a 32in Lexsor HD ready LCD TV and costs £1,598.
