Microsoft's newest web browser has been released. Internet Explorer 7 is Microsoft's response to the free web browsers Mozilla Firefox and Opera, both of which have been gaining ground over the past two years.
The latest edition includes so-called tabbed browsing, which allows users to keep several web pages open in one window, rather than having to use a separate window for each page. The pages are selected using tabs at the top of the window. Firefox and Opera users already have this facility.
The new browser also includes the ability to shrink a web page to fit the size of a physical sheet of paper when printing, to avoid text falling off the edges, a common problem when printing web pages.
You can also subscribe to RSS feeds to get news and updates from websites without having to visit the web page.
