Neo launches phone range

The path of Neo is futuristic phones

Technology firm Neo is to launch a new range of slimline mobile phones.

The company said that the 808i would be one of the smallest and lightest phones on the market when it is released in Spring next year.

It will measure 40mm x 13mm x 65mm (wxdxh) and weigh less than 90g - about half the size of a current mobile phone - and include features such as a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and a music player.

Each phone will come with 128MB of onboard memory, an additional 128MB micro SD card with a memory card slot that will support storage cards of up 2GB.

Web connections will be limited to WAP, although Neo said it would launch a new line of phones with Wifi and 3G capabilities in the second quarter of 2007.

The company, which is currently in talks with a range of global distributors and networks, plan sto release its new range into Europe by April 2007.
