Fujifilm to launch three new digital cameras

Fujifilm is adding three new cameras to its digital camera range.

The Finepix F40fd, the latest in the company's F series compact digital camera range, and two entry-level A series models, the FinePix A610 and FinePix A800 all feature a dual memory card slot. This not only accepts Fujifilm's traditional xD-Picture Card but also a Secure Digital (SD) card format.

The FinePix F40fd, features a hardware-based Face Detection technology which allows users to make people's faces the focal point of a photograph even if other details are a more obvious focus point.

The camera also has an 8.3 megapixel resolution, 3.0x optical zoom lens and a 300 shot battery life. It comes in redesigned packaging available in silver, gunmetal and blue.

The FinePix A800 features 8.3 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom, 10MB internal memory and can record up to 30 frames per second with Mono sound. The FinePix A610 couples 6.1 megapixels and with a 3x optical zoom and can film up to 30 frames per second without sound.

Both the A series cameras use two AA-size batteries.

The FinePix A610 and FinePix A800 will be available from late February 2007 and the F40fd from March 2007.
