The Airstation Wireless-N Nfiniti Dual Band Gigabit router has become the first to be certified with a Vista Premium badge from Microsoft.
The certification means that the router is capable of working with the new networking methods being used in Microsoft's latest operating system, Vista, which is due for release on 30 January 2007.
In order to be certified, a router has to support the Microsoft Xbox as well as the next-generation internet addresss numbering scheme known as IPv6. It also has to support a new simplified setup method that has been developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, the industry trade association.
