A device that promises business levels of computer security is being made available to home users. The Yoggie Gatekeeper Pro is a standalone network unit that includes anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-phishing and firewall features.

In addition to its security capabilities, the Yoggie Gatekeeper also offers parental controls. Because the device is separate from all computers on the network, it can control and block threats affecting all linked computers.

The Gatekeeper costs $220 (£111) initially, which includes a one-year subscription to its security updates, followed by $40 (£20) a year after that.
