Virgin Mobile has launched an online competition to find two new bands to perform at this year's V festival.

The Road to V competition is entered via the website, and gives bands who think they are good enough the chance to upload their tracks. These are then reviewed and rated by members of the public.

After the competition closes on April 5^th, these views will be taken into account by industry experts who will chose 14 bands to compete for the two places at the V Festival which will take place in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on August 18^th and 19^th.
