Virgin media has added the James Bond film catalogue to its catalogue of
film on demand.
From 16 May,
Virgin
media customers will be able to watch all 21 James Bond films from 1962’s Dr
No, through to last year's Casino Royale anytime they choose through Virgin
media’s on demand, FilmFlex, service.
To rent the films users must press the Virgin services button on their remote
control where they will be led to the on demand film menu.
Once they have selected the Bond film they want, they will be able to play,
pause, rewind and stop the film as many times as they like within a 24 hour
window.
Prices range from £2.50 for a Bond classic to £3.50 for Casino Royale.
Ernie Cormier, chief commercial officer of Virgin Media said: "Everyone has a
favourite Bond film and we're offering a huge slice of 00-heaven around the
clock. Customers can dip into the line-up one at a time or even pig out with a
Bond marathon.
"There's over 41 hours of action to pick from and it's just a fraction of our
huge on demand library, which is growing all the time."
Video on demand has become a popular means of watching videos with other
providers offering a similar service at similar prices to those offered by a
high street video store.
Earlier this month
Tiscali
launched an online based video-on-demand service giving people the
opportunity to download films and TV programmes to buy or rent.
BT also offers a similar service through its BT Vision service.
