LG has launched a 3G version of its Shine phone.
The U970 has 3G and HSPDA capabilities including a high-speed internet transfer speed of 3.6 Mbytes/sec and a download rate of 3MB.
Using the handset users can download a full length MP3 song – priced at £1.29 from the three mobile website - in seven seconds or a 40MB video-on-demand programme from ITV in one minute and 30 seconds.
The mobile also features a reflective mirror 2.2” LCD screen, 2 megapixel camera with a certified Schneider-Kreuznach lens, and 50MB of internal memory which is extendable to 2GB via a Micro SD card.
It also comes with a VGA camera for video calls and supports Mp3, iTunes and WAV music formats, which can be listened to and controlled via the supplied headphones.
It is available free on the 3 network, subject to the chosen monthly contract.
