A free web-based service that enables people to convert video from one format
to another has been launched.
Movavi has been developed to convert
video files into different formats, such as the H.264 format used by Apple’s new
iPhone.
The service also supports a broad range of popular video formats, including
Mpeg2 and Mpeg4.
As Movavi is an online service, there is no software for users to install.
Video can be converted and uploaded from any PC, Mac or Linux-based computer
with an internet connection.
Users upload a file, choose the desired output format, and provide an email
address. When the conversion is complete, Movavi uses the email address to
notify users when and where they can download their converted files. The process
usually takes less than a day, and users may convert up to five 10-minute, 100MB
clips during one session.
