Logitech has launched a laser mouse that works on the desk and in the air.
The
MX
Air cordless mouse has been developed to work like a TV remote control to
make it easier to navigate videos on sites such as
Youtube
and music files stored on a PC.
Using sensors and wireless technology, Logitec claims it can distinguish
between intentional and unintentional hand movements.
Instead of the traditional scroll wheel the MX Air mouse also features a
touch-sensitive panel with PC media functions such as play and pause,
volume/mute and back and select.
To change sound levels for multimedia files, the company said all people
have to do is press and hold the volume button and gesture. For example a
movement to the right increases volume, to the left decreases it. For music
applications, a small circular motion to the right activates the skip track
command, while a circle to the left repeats the song.
The Logitech MX Air has a range of up to 10m and goes on sale from August at
£99.99.
