It is possible to create a dropdown list in Excel but it involves setting up what is called data validation.

Enter the options for the list in a column of cells. This can be on a separate worksheet if required.

Left-click on the cell that should have the dropdown menu. Click on the Data menu and then on Validation.

Make sure the settings tab is selected - left-click on it once if not.

Left-click on the down arrow in the Allow section and select List.

Click on the button at the end of the text box with the title Source and highlight the list of options. Click on OK and the dropdown menu will be inserted in that cell.
