Q Is it possible to make Windows XP sound a beep whenever the Caps Lock key is pressed?

A You can find the feature you want in the Windows Accessibility Options, and it will also sound a warning for the Num Lock and ScrLk keys as well.

In XP left-click on the Start menu and then on Control Panel. Double-click on Accessibility Options (or if in category mode left-click on Accessibility Options, and then again on Accessibility Options).

Click on the Keyboard tab and then in the small box labelled Use ToggleKeys to enable the function. Click on OK to save the change. There is also a keyboard shortcut for this option – hold down the Num Lock key for five seconds and a window will appear to enable ToggleKeys. In Vista, open the Ease of Access Center from the Control Panel and click the link marked ‘Make the keyboard easier to use’ to access ToggleKeys.
