There is a basic flight simulator included in
Google
Earth for those who want an alternative means of getting around.
Either click on the Tools menu and select Enter Flight Simulator or press the
Ctrl, Alt and A keys at the same time.
Mac users should press the Apple key instead of Ctrl. There is a choice
between a fast F16 fighter or a slower propeller aircraft.
The flight simulator can start from the current location or from a selection
of famous airports. It can also use a joystick if there is one connected to the
computer, otherwise a full list of keyboard commands can be found by clicking on
the help button.
A basic Head Up Display shows the direction, speed and height information.
Don’t worry about crashing, as the simulator just offers to start again from
that location.
