Verdict

If you want to design and print a T-shirt from home, this should give you all you need. And for £10, it represents great value for money.

Creating your own T-shirt may at first seem like an enjoyable and simple prospect; just create your design, print and transfer onto cloth.

But getting the design from the transfer paper and on to the T-shirt can be a time-consuming process. Transfer paper and blank T-shirts can be extraordinarily expensive; almost enough to make you want to get it done professionally. That said, this title, available for only a tenner, has everything you might need to do it yourself.

Once installed, the first series of menus offers a selection of materials to print on, such as sweatshirt, T-shirt or even mousemat. Size can also be selected, although this is limited to Adult and Youth.

The next choice is between building from a template or clipart image, from which there are more than 5,000 to choose. The program supports WMF, JPEG, BMP and GFX files but not TIFF images.

The rest of the program acts very much like a simple graphics package but offers far more features than we expected. Images can be scanned in, horizontally and vertically tiled, grouped together, and shifted around. Text can also be added, but we found moving and adjusting the text a little confusing at first.

That said, all available controls are laid out along the sides of the screen, making them easy to find, and their application is clearly labelled.

A browser is included so you can scan your PC for images but we found the interface to be decidedly unhelpful; Windows Explorer is not only more familiar to us all but simpler to use.
