When we looked at Roxio Easy Media Creator 7, we were impressed by the sheer volume of included software. The new version manages to cram in even more than before.

The home screen is as useful as ever, focusing on tasks rather than the applications included. New programs include Backup MyPC Deluxe, /2138934 Disc Image Loader and the LP and Tape Assistant.

Other programs cover all aspects of making data or media CDs and DVDs and editing digital photos, videos and audio, and the Media Manager is a good way of collecting and filing pictures and videos on your PC.

The Roxio package provides several new ways to record audio. The Easy Audio Capture can record the sound output from your PC, such as streaming audio from the internet. Sadly it records all the sounds the PC makes, so alerts from other programs will be picked up unless you mute them.

The LP and Tape Assistant includes information on how to connect everything to your computer and you can add track separators and remove noise.

Disc Image loader allows you to create a file containing all the elements from a CD or DVD, which is handy for loading up clip art without having to find the disc. It will not get around copy protection on games and movies, though.

Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 Supersonic continues to impress with the sheer amount of software included without any significant compromises on quality.
